Hehe Shez when I was 17, it was my first party that mum said I could have a little alcohol there - I told her to buy some wine "but not the cask stuff, I don't want cheap wine!"
She has never let me live it down - whenever there is wine around she swirls the glass under my nose and asks for my "expert opinion" on woody undertones etc.
And since I've been with Jesper it's gotten worse! I match wine to food and everything! When I was 17, I would have drank anything!
Although, he is more of a snob than me - he has these three bottles of Penfolds red that are worth like... I dunno, about $300 each and for the three years we've been together, I have been dying to crack one open and have a swig from the bottle!
And Elle and Renee - I am a BIG chai drinker!!! I love Chai tea (not the crappy oversweet lattes you get at places like Muffin Break or Starbucks or Gloria Jeans though - the real stuff!) - I have one EVERY night. and I recently discovered that Tea 2 do a beautiful spicy chai!
Re: Challenge Chics Retreat
What is this a scrapping retreat or a booze up????
I can say with 100% certainty that I would NOT be there. Tad hard with the 'growing' family . That and if we ever scrape up enough money to get to brizzy the whole family will be comin.

Re: Challenge Chics Retreat
A bit of both, so we are catering for everyone!
Oh thats a shame you can't make it, but don't say anything just yet, it will be well into next year so your financial situation might be able to stretch for you to have a day or two at the retreat!
Cheers

Re: Challenge Chics Retreat
WOW ladies it looks like it is going to be a fun packed weekend with lots of scrapping to be had! I am looking into some venues in the next couple of days and catering ideas! We will try and keep the costs down for this retreat, the main focus for this retreat is that we will try and accommodate everyone as this will be a fun weekend of scrapping, scrapping, scrapping oh did I mention scrapping. We are going to try and have lots of activities to do during the day and into the night! We will enjoy yummy food, even if I have to make it myself!! This is going to be a great opportunity to meet each other in person, enjoy doing what we all are so passionate about and that is scrapbooking! As a mother and wife, I understand the need for us to have "Me Time", we deserve to have time to ourselves and what a fantastic way to do this by sharing our love of scrapping!
If you haven't shown an interest, I hope that you can come .. it will be a well run retreat weekend![b]

Re: Challenge Chics Retreat
Yes, I know we will all have a ball. We have lots of little things planned & some wonderful pages to scrap as I will teaching a Collage & Shezzy has plans on an item as well to teach. I have a couple of other ladies lined uo to teach a class as well.
Can I just say that ladies, this isn't a booze up!!! It is some wonderful friends coming together, enjoying each other's company & as Shezzy put it, scrapping & scrapping, with a couple of drinks for those of us that will enjoy 1 in the evening with our dinner! Tea & coffee will be supplied with our dinner as well for the non- drinkers. We have had a lot of fun chatting about it all & I hope that continues lol!
