This is me- Therefore I am me!!!

Hi Deb Mitchell here- My story- here goes-:

I am a down to earth person who can't stand idiots!!! Have a bad habit of saying that to their faces.
I am in a relationship with a much younger man- yep he is my toy boy lol! He is also a great Dad & a wonderful partner for a scrapper to have- I think that's why he wear's his sunnies a lot so that I can't see his eyes at my purchases lol! Shocked

I have 4 wonderful & extremely handsome sons- just ask me lol! Chris- 25, Davo- 21, Ash-17 & Brody- 4. All as good looking as each other lol! Brody is a special needs child having Autism- but he makes the best scrapping subject! I am a SAHM- bursting to get back into the workforce but am restricted with Brody for a little while longer yet.
I am a former Qld Health worker- I worked in Operational Services as a cleaner & a Wardsperson. I also did a stint in Admin working in the front reception & Med Records. The job I enjoyed the most was the wardie position- if you came to my hospital with injuries or kids with broken bones ect, I was the 1 who sat with your child & kept them calm for their xrays ect. I would be the 1 to bring you back from theatre or take you to the labor ward or help shower your hubby tongue

lol! lol! I was also the 1 who cleaned up your blood if you messed up my floors in A & E lol! If you passed, I was also 1 of 4 who took you to the morgue- that part I hated but I treated you with respect & made sure you looked your best for a veiwing.
I started scrapping about 2 & a half years ago & have loved every moment of it- wouldn't give it up for the world! I just love the idea of being able to leave behind beautiful creative memories for my sons & their families! Very Happy

I am so proud of how this group has grown to what we all are today & the many wonderful friendships I have made on my journey- I thank you all from the bottom of my heart sunny

Wow Deb. That would have been an exciting drama filled Job - minus the heartbreaking morgue moments. Sad

Go the SAHM's!!!! I only say that coz Im too lazy and love spending time with my kids!!!! Cool

Hehe Deb your "this is me - therefore I am me" made me laugh... it reminded me of a song...

A boy I know sang it... but I dont know if he wrote it or got it from sesame street, but I always thought it was cute... come to think of it, I always thought he was cute too...

I already knew all this stuff about you but thanks for sharing chicky... if I had to take people to the morgue I would shit myself... (I like having our own forum where I can say that and no one tells me off for it - dont worry, I wont make it a habit!)

lol!@ you little miss- better watch out for Shezzy though lol! Nah she will be cool with it, just don't know if the big bosses come & check stuff out though lol!. It doesn't bother me in the least as long as F words aren't used lol!
When I was on call & had to come & take a body to the morgue at 3 am or so in the morning, that was very scray indeed as the only other person that helps you is a nurse is is just as frightened lol!
I could tell you some really bad stories about some of my experiences doing that but won't as it is against hospital policy & breach of confidentality, but you ladies don't need to know that stuff anyway!

LOL. Hospital walls would have some very interesting stories to tell. You care such a great people person Deb and I would certainly want you there sitting with my kid (when I have one) if they were in hospital. You have a huge heart and give so much.

Sounds like such an interesting job, wouldnt it only be breaching privacy if you mentioned names? sorry i love an interesting story. brody certainly is very photogenic which is great for a scrappers son, his photos are always great and he is so gorgeous, thanks for sharing a bit about you

Yes Amanda it would be breach of Confidientility if I named names & have sign Government paperwork to such effect. I can talk about what I have seen- to a certain degree but not mention names. I swa many things that just made me question peoples motives & things that would make your mind go bananas- I think that is why I struggle some days with depression! I have seen many sad times & I have also seen many happy times. That job made me who I am today- more open minded to all walks of life instead of being extremely judgemental!
